The theme of this slide tray is loosely: “Trips to South Africa and Australia” which Percy and Maud took on cruise liner (The Orion).

There are photographs which Percy took at their stop-over ports. These seem to have been:-

  • Marseilles (France)
  • Pompei, near Naples (Roman excavations of the Roman City covered in volcanic pumice)
  • Port Said on the Suez Canal (from where they took an excursion to Cairo to visit the pyramids)
  • Port Colombo, Ceylon.
