Dennis said: “In WW2 Stuart joined the RAF and was sent to South Africa for pilot training. He served two tours of duty of bombing raids over Germany flying heavy bombers; I think mainly Wellingtons and Halifaxes. After the war, he couldn’t wait to go back to South Africa.”
